These links can provide you with extensive help on citing sources, on grammar and usage and on writing papers in general. It is up to you to explore and make use of these resources!

If you have consulted them and need additional help, I'll be glad to provide assistance. However, I will expect your questions to refer to the resource you have consulted and clearly identify the point that remains unclear.

I generally encourage you to use this conference area to ask questions concerning your drafts.

If you submit an entire draft to the workbook, I will be glad to tell you if the general content responds to the assignment guidelines and address questions of scope (whether you've chosen a topic that is either too broad or too narrow for an assignment of this length).

If, however, you would like input on grammar, form, or specific points of analysis, you must identify a specific passage or type of problem (e.g., run-on sentences or division of main points into paragraphs) and ask a specific question. I will not respond to vague requests such as "Please tell me if this paper is right."

You must take a pro-active role in this process and begin the job of editing your essay in a timely manner! If you want to take advantage of this drafting workshop, start early!  I will accept drafts for advising up to 4 days before submission deadline.
