I have an MA in Linguistics
from the U.
of Hawaii and worked with Danny Steinberg on the Longman text,
Introduction
to Psycholinguistics and his recent Longman second edition of Psycholinguistics:
Language, Mind and World.
I used to be a professional
trombone player.
I was a cab-driver, mailman, and oil-refinery roustabout. I have
published
short stories and was the editor of the AFSouth magazine The Lion
for 7 years. I was a German-language spook for the Army Security
Agency.
The people I spied on are now all dead or hold very high office. I
speak
fluent Italian and German. I have run 3 marathons. I am a good amateur
juggler and if I get much better I am going to run away and join the
circus.
I live in Naples, Italy.
