About me

I was born in Aversa (CE), Italy in 1966. I received the Doctor Degree in Computer Science in 1997 at University of Salerno. I work as IT researcher for Advanced Systems s.r.l. in Naples (Italy).

Since 1994 I began contributing in the creation of Advanced Systems’ Legacy System, developing client / server software components based on Internet Technology, and defining the general guidelines for the development of Multi-Tier and Web based Applications for this Company.
During my career I also had experience as a Systems’ Analyst and a Systems' Designer.
As a researcher my focus is in the field of VLDBs and Data Warehousing Systems.
I have a broad range of experience in the implementation of Systems on several of the most diffused operating platforms – going from IBM MVS and OS/400, through Microsoft Windows family, using a wide variety of programming languages such as COBOL, PL/1, C, C++, Pascal, and Java.
Nowadays, I'm a reference point for Advanced Systems in the field of Database Systems’ design, Object Oriented Systems’ design, and in the study of upcoming technologies.
Since May 2002 I'm in charge as the head of the Quality System Program in Advanced Systems.
I've been teaching for UMUC Undergraduate Programs since March 2001 and in May 2003 I joined teaching for UMUC MIS Graduate Program.
