CREDIT: Three  semester hours.

PURPOSE:                 This course provides an overview of the  project
                                    management  process as it relates to information systems, but is
                                    not limited to these. Other functional management areas are also
                                    considered.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Topics covered will be from eleven  major areas
                                               of concentration.
                                    1. Project Development Cycles.
                                    2. Development under Contract
                                    3. Managing large Projects.
                                    4. Organizing and staffing the Project Office and Team.
                                    5. Adherence to standards (DOD, IEEE)
                                    6. Project Scheduling.
                                    7.Time Management.
                                    8. Pricing and Estimating/Cost Control.
                                    9. Trade-off Analysis in a Project Environment..
                                  10. Program Evaluation and Review Technique.
                                  11. Project Management Software.

Grading Policy: Grades for this course will be based on
                                Project                         40 %
                                Final Exam                   60 %
                            and will be assigned as follows:

                                B       84     <       93 %
