Whilst registration to ISO 9000 can be something of a mixed blessing, it is for many companies a fact of life and they have little option but to seek such registration. In our view, this is one of the better books on the subject and, as far as we know, is the only book on ISO 9000 that starts off with a description of systems thinking, written by Dr Deming and used with his permission. Yes, I just have to start out with this excellent book by a fellow advocate of Dr. Deming's management philosophy. Don't let that put you off investigating the ISO area, but this is great food for thought.
Subtitled "The Case against ISO 9000", this is a must read book before you invest in a system that allows you to tell others that you know what is going on because it is all documented.
