Reading [WebTycho] Conferences Off-Line
by Valerie Mock

You don't have to be connected to read all of the conference items. Here are two ways to save on your "connect" time.

USING THE [Microsoft] WORD CUT AND PASTE METHOD

1. Open up Word.

2. Sign-on to the Web Tycho class.

3. Click on Conference.

4. Click on the Conference of your choice.

5. When the Conference comes up, scroll to the bottom until you see Expand---Read All Notes.

6. Click on Read All Notes.

7. Go up to Edit on the Menu Bar (on top, under the title bar) and click on Select All.

8. When the highlighting appears, go to the Tool Bar (on top, under the Menu bar), and click on Copy.

9. Minimize your Web Tycho screen.

10. On a blank Word screen, go to the Tool Bar (on top, under the Menu bar), and click on Paste.

11. You now have all of the notes to work with.

Note: you can also use this technique for individual items in the Conferences AND to upload information into a conference (just work backwards).

USING THE SAVE FRAME AS METHOD

Follow steps 2-6 above.

7. Go up to File on the Menu Bar (on top, under the title bar) and click on Save Frame As.

8. When the Save As window appears, make sure you are at the place where you want to save it, and then type in the file name.

9. Click on Save. Your total Conference is now available for you to work on with any disconnected Browser of your choice.
