It is important that you have completed the assignments before the small group discussions. So you must work ahead. Although you will not be required to report to the class on all aspects of each lesson (just as in a classroom course), you will be responsible for all the material. The final exam will be comprehensive and not limited to the questions I ask you to prepare to answer each week.
Again remember, just as with consistent attendance, consistent completion of assignments makes a difference in your performance and that of your group. Other students in this course are depending on your contributions to help them learn the material (just as you learn from them).
Students who do not submit assignments or contribute to small group discussions receive no credit for that portion of the course. Due dates for the most part are intended to help us make continual progress in this course with a relatively even workload throughout. Missed deadlines make more, unscheduled work for everyone.
Homework or tests submitted late will be subject to a 10% penalty per week or part thereof. Keep track of your time and help each other be on time.
Additional make-up work for missed assignments may be assigned and accepted at my discretion.
