Journals: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

Individual assignments are to be posted in the designated class conference area of WebTycho classroom by 2400 Heidelberg time of the last day of the period for which they are assigned.

Group discussion assignments will be announced as we go along. Typically, discussions will take place in a Study Group conference area on WT. I want everyone assigned to the same group to contribute to the discussion in the study group area. I will appoint a recorder to summarize the discussion and post that summary in the class conference area where all students can see and comment on the results. Groups will self- organize and as needed appoint a leader.

There will be several discussion threads taking place at any one time in our WT classroom, so check in every couple days and be prepared to stay awhile. Each of you is expected to contribute to our discussions just as if you were in a face-to-face classroom. Also note that each of you can expect to lead or initiate a discussion several times during the course. The recorder is not necessarily the group leader, but you can expect to be a recorder more than once as well.

During Week 1, our discussion will focus on course mission, objectives and evaluation criteria as well as coping with technical problems raised by this distance learning method. There will be no lead students assigned for Week 1.

Assignments for the Weeks Indicated

Week 1 (7 - 11 Apr. '03) Course Intro & Orientation

Begin Course Module 1 (See WT Course Content Area.)

The Course Modules have been prepared to help guide you through your study of E-commerce. They are a useful supplement to your readings so please work through them as they are listed in this schedule. The module content does not always match the weekly readings, but both get to about the same place in the end.

You will see that references in the modules include Turban's earlier edition of your text. As the preface notes, the current edition is much expanded.
