RICHARD FRY
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND
| Hello! I'll keep this brief under the belief that if you know me you'll know this, and if you don't know me you won't want to read five pages of fine detail:) I was born in Taunton, England. I make this distinction as I have discovered another Taunton in Massachusetts. My Taunton is famous for Cider and Cricket (and more often than not a combination of the two). My old school as you can see is something out of a Dickensian novel. |

After 11 years of Public school indoctrination (if you are American please read Private) I headed up north to Stirling. A truly beautiful campus on the foothills of the highlands, it originally came to fame when someone threw an egg at the Queen |
| From there I moved down south to London and did my post graduate studies at the Royal Veterinary College. In 1991 I joined UMUC and have been driving ever since. I have made my home near the beautiful city of Bamberg. I live with my girlfriend (Iris) and our dog (Einstein) in this beautiful old house (c1740) which in about 25 years we may have paid for. |

On the odd moment I am not teaching/driving I play the
drums with a jazz trio called "Whine for Table seven". I
wanted to put some music here but for copyright reasons I was warned
against it. I've only been to the US once and that was paid for by the
Army (thank you, thank you, thank you) when I played in Washington DC for
the final of the 2000 Battle of the Bands (we came 3rd). The only thing
missing from this is a photo; cameras hate me. If I find anything close to
publishable I'll put it up; promise. If you would like to get in touch
then please email me, bye for now. (richard.fry@t-online.de)
